Entourage, "Out with a Bang": I deserve good things

My review/recap of last night's episode after I totes kid you about LeBron winking at your girlfriend.

This was definitely a better episode than last week's season premiere. It was similar to those great early-Entourage episodes. Of course, there were some problems, mainly that there were just too many storylines (especially for a 24-26 minute show).

Vince writes a 20-page script (he calls it an outline) for his miner movie idea that will star Johnny. E, Turtle, and Drama read it, but struggle because of Vince's terrible grammar and spelling. Vince gives it to Billy to read and to hopefully do a re-write of the project. Billy loves it and would love to write a better script for Vince.

Drama is finishing up recording Johnny's Bananas with Andrew Dice Clay. They are approaching testing, and Clay asks E to be his new representation. E says he can't meet with him, but passes him off to Scott, who agrees to take Clay on as his new client. The testing comes back incredibly positive on the show, but Clay tells Drama that they aren't getting paid enough and that they should walk.

Turtle, E, and Ari all have problems with their significant others. Turtle can't get Alex, the Avion Tequila model who is also his girlfriend to call him back. He is starting to think that she is getting too famous and will leave him. He thinks about dumping her because she won't call him back, but he decides to wait a little longer.

Sloane calls E and just yells, "Fuck you" at him. He goes to her place to pick up his stuff, assuming that's what the phone call was about. Sloane walks in and explains that she called him,, because he left a message on her voicemail that said "Fuck you" at Vince's party. He explains that he was yelling at the voicemail, not her. They clear things up, and she tells him she quit her job. They end up having sex, but Sloane leaves right afterwards. Later, she calls E to apologize about that and to tell him that she is moving to New York.

Ari finds out that his wife is eating at Flay's every morning. He and Lloyd go to investigate to see if Ari can find out who she is seeing. They think it is the waiter that serves her, and Ari tells the agency to make sure that he does not get a part on Mad Men. Mrs. Ari comes storming into Ari's office to ask if he had anything to do with the waiters audition. She then tells him that she isn't dating the waiter, but his boss: Bobby Flay. Ari storms into the conference room and tells his agent that Bobby Flay is their number one enemy now.

Other thoughts:
  • Does Andrew Dice Clay look like a 70's version of The Rock?
  • Since when does E have a tattoo on his chest? Doesn't really fit the character.
  • Shout out to the Philadelphia Flyers and Dan Carcillo with the jersey in Scott's office.
  • I thought everyone hated Vince's movie idea?
It looks like Entourage could be going back to its roots with this episode. I hope it continues and the show ends like the old episodes. I'm going to guess that the last episode will end with E having to decide between staying with his friends in Los Angeles or being with Sloane in New York.
